Highlights: 


for I have five brothers— in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ Luke 16:28


You have five fingers on each hands and five toes each feat.  Those are likely your five brothers and sisters- think about it. In this life, Whatever you have done today is done by your hands. You have your five senses which are your mouth, ear, nose, tongue, skin and eyes ... those are what defines you. But Your fingers and toes are your brothers and sisters accompanying you in life.. After you make your choice, the hands and foot will accompany you to your destiny. 


Some are in depression, pain, agony because of self indulgences with their brothers and sisters while others and in praise, reward and celebration because their five brothers and sisters were disciplined.


In the above highlight the story began from Luke 16:19-31, a rich man and poor Lazarus were living close to each other. The rich uses his ten fingers to eat, drink and spend lavishly on whatever. He forgot to feed His conscience - Lazarus. When he died, Lazarus died with him. He saw Lazarus in heaven but his real self in hell. That could have been him on Abraham Bossom if he had done good deeds with his hands when he was on earth.


So he was in torment of hell and the first thing he remembered was his hands in hell. Listen to this, if the rich man had done good deeds while on earth, his conscience would have lead him to heaven. So the rich man asked that at least Lazarus (his abandoned conscience) could dip his hands in water and put a tip on his tongue (His five senses were still with him in hell). Abraham answered, “My friend, remember that while you lived, you had everything good, and Lazarus had everything bad. Now he is happy, and you are in pain. And besides, there is a deep ditch between us, and no one from either side can cross over.”


But the rich man said, “Abraham, then please send Lazarus to my father's home. Let him warn my five brothers, so they won't come to this horrible place.”

Luke 16:25-‬28 


The rich man's five brothers were the work of his hands. Those things he had done while he left the earth. His friends and fans were still following his lavish ways - living without conscience. Today, so many politicians are gone but their corrupt practices were still there. The rich man wants someone with good conscience like Lazarus to go and warn his five brothers. Abraham answered, “Your brothers can read what Moses and the prophets wrote. They should pay attention to that.” Then the rich man said, “No, that's not enough! If only someone from the dead would go to them, they would listen and turn to God.” So Abraham said, “If they won't pay attention to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even to someone who comes back from the dead.”

Luke 16:29‭-‬31 


Today, you have the word of life from Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible that can still purify your conscience for all the stuff you are doing with your hands. If you did not take care of your conscience and you abandoned it for the riches of this world because of your self gain. One day your when you die, your conscience will leave you and go back to Abraham's Bossom while you rot in torment of hell (I pray that it will not be so for you). 


If you call yourself the son of Abraham, you must follow God in total obedience and maintain a clean conscience before God and man. 


And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Act 24:16


And if you are someone who is following others people (celebrity, pornstar, politicians etc) remember that those steps your are following are made by men whose ways may not be pleasing with God. And Your conscience is watching you in all you do. 


Psalm 1: 1-2 says


God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won't follow sinners or join in sneering at God. Instead, they find happiness in the Teaching of the Lord, and they think about it day and night.


It is time to cross examine yourself and make amendment. if you know all these things and still refuse to do the right thing - Your conscience will judge on the fateful day of judgement. Remember, your life is important that food and cloth. Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows you need all of these. But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well. Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.

Prayer: Father in heaven please purify my conscience with the blood of Jesus. Amen.

In the last two devotionals we have drawn out some guidelines to submit ourselves under the dominion of the creator of the whole universe and to live and stay in his presence while walking the earth. With hindsight we can say that an individual has left the broad way and entered the small pathway according to the word of Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14:


 ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.’ Jesus says: ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.’ (John 14:6 - 7) In verse 9 of the same chapter he adds: “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, “Show us the Father”? In Jesus we encounter the fullness of the Godhead.


 The same way God showed us his character, his love and mercy, his grace and absolute goodness in Christ Jesus, we have now, as followers of Jesus, the responsibility to show the world around us the character of Christ as good as we can in our weakness. 


The more we concentrate on him and stay with him the better we will be able to depict the strength and glory of his character to our surroundings. After his resurrection Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ (John 20:21) The followers of Christ live their lives on this earth in the sight of the returning king and the coming glory. 


They know that the whole world belongs to their father and that they are together with Jesus on the winning side. Therefore they do not get easily discouraged. Knowing that I cannot give you here a full picture, I just want to give you here some nuggets out of scripture. 

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 


Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:4-9)

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. (Colossians 3:1-5)

For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 


But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. (2. Corinthians 4:5-11) 

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’ Matthew 28:18-20)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.


 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:3-11)

 

I want to know Christ – yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus.

Many more highlights of scripture would need to be added, but for now we leave it here. King Jesus is returning to this earth very soon to be the Emperor of the thousand years to come, the Prince of Peace and the Ruler of all Rulers. Let us be his faithful servants. By following Jesus the best of our lives remains ahead of us and he guarantees that we will reach it, if only we are staying with him. 

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, you showed us the love and the goodness of your father. You have given everything for me, you have paid all the debts I could never have redeemed on my own. You have done everything for me by dying on the cross. You are my Savior and Redeemer! Show me how I can be something for your glory with my life. In your Holy Name, I pray!

After you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it is crucial that you begin to read the scriptures. Helpful is the Gospel of John to discover the healing character of Christ Jesus. The epistle to the Ephesians gives a very helpful outline of what happens when you became a follower of Christ. 


In the chapters 1 to 3 the Apostle Paul shows very impressively all the blessings that are poured out over an individual who turns away from the dominion of Satan and follows the invitation of Jesus to come under his dominion. In the chapters 4 – to 6 the Apostle gives then very helpful and detailed advice on how to live now in the new life with Jesus. 


I recommend that you carefully read the epistle to the Ephesians. Furthermore look out for a community of followers of Christ, who are adhering to the word of God. Should you have trouble to find such a church, contact the blog address and somebody will give you some help. In the following highlights I have outlined some passages out of the Epistle to the Ephesians that could be helpful, but it cannot replace the careful study of the Epistle. 


Growth is something that happens naturally for us, if only we have the right nourishment and the love of God, which is the main catalyst for growth. Consult John 15 to understand growth. The branches of the vine grow naturally as long as they are firmly connected to the vine and out of the same connection results fruit. We do not need to concentrate on results, we only have to concentrate on staying in agreement with Jesus and the results will follow.  

The power of Satan has been defeated in the cross and resurrection of Jesus. The devil is still furious and tries to devour the followers of Jesus, but the one who is now in our hearts, Jesus Christ, is much stronger than the devil and all his demons. In the last part of the Epistle to the Ephesians, Paul teaches us how to fight the dark powers who are just trying to deceive and to derail us. You will be encouraged and empowered by your personal study of the scriptures.


Highlights: As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no-one can boast. (Ephesians 2:1-9)


Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)


So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed to and fro by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:11-16)


Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I do thank you that you have accepted me and have taken me out of the dull life without you and have given me citizenship in heaven. Thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit and for life eternal. Help me to stay focused on you and an eternity with you, while I am still living in this fallen world with you and for you. Help me to make your wonderful character known with my little life. Let this little life of mine shine for your glory. Thank you for your promise:  “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

Highlights:

‘Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. (Isaiah 55:1 - 4)


 ‘All things have been committed to me by my Father. No-one knows the Son except the Father, and no-one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:27 – 30)


Today we are going back to the roots, to the most basic truth. People of all races and of all ages are thirsty for life. What life is, is however very differently defined in our society. Many people think that life can be found in earthly goods, pleasures and power, but really fulfilling life can be found only in community with the giver of life. After God has created Adam he blew him the breath of lives in his nostriles and man became a living being. Together with his wife Eve, God gave him the mandate to subdue the earth and to fill it. They enjoyed a perfect life in the presence of their creator, having all their needs and wishes met until Satan disrupted them by implying they could have much more by disobeying God and to follow his lead.



 They listened to Satan and immediately died out of the spiritual life that had connected them with God. Consequently they had to leave the garden God had created for them, because of the mercy of God, who did not want that the separation from him would be perpetuated, when they would eat from the tree of life. In his absolute goodness never gave up on them and the entire Bible basically tells us the love story of God who searched to bring man back to him in many different ways. 


2000 years ago he sent Jeshuah (Jesus) to the earth who was the only one able to redeem man with God again and to open up the future Paradise for everybody who comes to Jesus and submits him-/herself to him. In Jesus the creator of the Universe and of all the earth invites you into his close friendship. He loves you so that he died on the cross to pay for your sins and iniquities. No matter what happened in your life – he loves you and cares for you and he searches you for a fully satisfying life with him in eternity.

Now, what do you have to do to turn to Jesus? Just talk to him as you would talk to a friend. Tell him your thoughts, your doubts and your questions and ask him to answer you. If you are ready to become one of his followers, confess him your conscious sins, repent of them and invite him to enter your life and to fill you with his Holy Spirit. Start reading his word and begin to shape your life according to it. Believe the scriptures: “He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognise him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:10-13) 


Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.’


It is crucial that you trust the scripture and not your feelings. By trusting the word of God you will experience the strength you need to walk with him. If you have done damage to people, confess it not only to God, but to the people whom it concerns and try to make good what can be made good. You have now a new life and will get the strength to live it out. Do not be discouraged by mistakes, accept them and go on concentrating on following Jesus in all you do. You will get stronger by the day. 


Prayer: Dear Jesus, I am separated from you because I am a sinner. Today I come to you, realizing that I am unable to help myself. I repent of all my sins and I invite you into my life as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and change me from the inside out. I do thank you for your love, your goodness and your forgiveness. Help me to follow your footsteps and fill me with your Holy Spirit. 

Thank you for cleansing me with your blood and redeeming me with your Heavenly Father. Thank you for the gift of eternal life and the privilege to belong to you. Keep me in your path and let me be something for your glory. In your Holy Name, I pray! Amen.

Dead Mind

Highlights:


For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. Luke 15:24


God knows you better than you know yourself. He said in Joshua 1:9 that "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” You should never walk alone. God created us so we can be lead like a shepherd on the roadmap of destiny.


If you walk alone without God, you may lose your track. If a sheep stray away from from the fold, that sheep may lost its way and be taken away by hunter. 


God knows the decision you are about to make right now. He knows you are going to make that decision and what the outcome will be. Plug in the word so that if that decision will bring negative actions he will speak to your heart. 


God knows what will bring you Joy so that your hope will not be dashed and he knows what will bring sadness.


He wants to reveal his will to you. He wants you to get more for your life. So don't ever make a life changing decision this year without consulting the word of the Lord. 


David said I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.

Psalms 119:106 


He knows that who ever did not follow the righteous laws of God is dead in their mind.


so he said in verse 105 that "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."


Read Joshua 1:8. If you are not born again, you need to give your life to Jesus Christ by repenting from your sins and ask for forgiveness and Holy Spirit through prayer in the name of Jesus.


Prayer: Father Please touch my heart with your hands and let your Spirit give life to my mind in Jesus name. Amen

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” John 1:45


Saint Bartholomew was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ who was martyred in the 1st century AD.


Saint Bartholomew lived in the first century AD and was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. He was introduced to Jesus Christ through Saint Philip and is also known as "Nathaniel of Cana in Galilee," notably in John's Gospel. Saint Bartholomew is credited with many miracles related to the weight of objects. He was martyred in Armenia, being either decapitated or skinned alive. (copied from Biography.com)


When Jesus saw him coming he said, “There’s a real Israelite, not a false bone (deception) in his body.” 


Bartholomew (Nathanael) said, “Where did you get that idea? You don’t know me.” Jesus answered, “One day, long before Philip called you here, I saw you under the fig tree.”


 Bartholomew (Nathanael) exclaimed, “Rabbi! You are the Son of God, the King of Israel!” Jesus said, “You’ve become a believer simply because I say I saw you one day sitting under the fig tree? You haven’t seen anything yet! Before this is over you’re going to see heaven open and God’s angels descending to the Son of Man and ascending again.”

 John 1:47‭-‬51


Bartholomew was confirmed by the Lord that He is a real Israelite in whom there is no deception. As the Lord confirmed the man Bartholomew also known as Nathaniel (John 1:47): Will he do the same for us today. 


Prayer: God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. Please guide me on the road to eternal life in Jesus name. Amen

And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 8:11 (KJV) 


A New Year came through like yesterday. I wish you a Happy New calendar Year 2022. Miracle is the surest thing to happen. No doubt that Great things will be happening this year around the world, especially among the Children of God. My advise for you is, don't be left out. Let us assume that the chapter Eight (8) of Matthew happened somewhere in year 2021 (Sure it did). Though it may be like an assumption, but somehow, it happened somewhere in reality. How about having faith in God for your miracles.


St Matthew narrates the story of year 2021 chapter 8 Verse 1 which should be month of January, Jesus came down the mountain with cheers of crowd ringing in his ears. A leper made his way through and worshipped Him. He said "My master and my Lord Jesus, if you want to, you will heal my body". Jesus reached out and touched him and said "I want you to help you. Be clean". Then and there, all the signs of leprosy were gone. Hallelujah.  It happened in January 2021


In February, As Jesus entered the village of Capernaum, a Roman captain came up in a panic and said, “Master, my servant is sick. He can’t walk. He’s in terrible pain.” Jesus said, “I’ll come and heal him.” “Oh, no,” said the captain. “I don’t want to put you to all that trouble. Just give the order and my servant will be fine. To cut the long story, Jesus said to the Roman officer, “You may go home now. Your faith has made it happen.” Right then his servant was healed.

Matthew 8:13 


That was how Jesus healed everyone who had appointment with him throughout the world.


The Front page of the Newspaper for March 2021, headline wrote:


"I tell you in all of Israel I've never found anyone with this much faith!" Page 5. My Daily News. (Matthew 8:10) 2021. Are we going to hear same thing from Jesus in 2022? The answer depends on if you and I will participate in divine appointment this year. 


I could go on and on, but because of time. It's my pleasure to announce to you that this year same Jesus Christ has came down and said "That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven."


Do you know what that means? That vanguard of many will soon be coming from all directions —streaming in from the east, pouring in from the west, sitting down at God’s kingdom banquet alongside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 


Its possible that those who grew up ‘in the faith’ but had no faith will find themselves out in the cold, outsiders to grace and wondering what happened.” (cf Matthew 8:12)


If a leper could make his way among crowds and got a touch and healing from Jesus Christ in 2021, you should have no excuse. If someone could travel down from Rome to meet Jesus for healing of someone dear to them in 2021, you have no excuse. 


Jesus took illnesses and carried many burdens in 2021. He changed many lives in 2021. It is by divine appointment.


You can Google search "miracles of Jesus around the world in 2021" to see it for yourself.


 This 2022, Crowds are already teeming up again, those who want a miraculous appointment with Jesus. They are increasing by minutes. It is happening around you. Everyone who participate will receive their miracles.


Father Abraham and Father Isaac and Father Jacob will be in for a banquet this year. It is going to be electrifying and superb. You must participate. Do NOT be a bystander OR the on-looker in 2022. January could be your month to testify. It is by divine appointment, so it has to do with the Bible.


Jesus is right there behind you. He is in your Bible waiting for you. All you need is to open that Bible and be reading it everyday with vision to meet the Lord. Here and there, your eyes of understanding will be opening to see what the Lord has in stock for you. The Bible gives us possibilities beyond self struggles. 


As you read your Bible this year, Be Prepared, Be Expectant, and honestly Participate. Participate at home, participate in your Church and on godly forums online. And suddenly, Jesus will say "Next! it's your turn"... It's your appointment with Jesus. Be excited! it is happening! go for it. 


Prayer: Lord Jesus, I know there are crowds across the world teeming up for an appointment with you this year. Hear my voice, calling for help. Touch me, meet me at the point of my needs, make me whole and turn my life around to the glory of God forever. This year, make me join the glorious banquet that is happening in your Kingdom.
