More than Friends

An Emoji Devotions for Mon 30th November, 2020.

Highlights

Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other. Psalm 85:10

Adding someone to your contact or friends-list doesn't make them a true friend. Yeah? A friend is someone we spend good time with, a boon companion (can't do without).

In the highlight verse, we'll see the degree of friendship between Love and faithfulness - they meet together (that's great!). While Righteousness and Peace would kiss (they are married to each other right?) See it's right there in Psalm 85:10.

It's all good. Wherever you see Love you'll find Faithfulness and Wherever you see righteousness you'll find Peace. They both go hand in hand. So, In whatever you do and wherever you go, just be more than just a friend to someone. (By their fruits you shall recognise them Matthew 7:16a) and that settles it.

Prayer: Good Lord show me favour. Please, Make me more than just friends to someone you chose for me. For you will indeed give what is good to those you love. Amen

Sing Unto the Lord

Emoji Devotions for Sunday 29, Nov, 2020

Topic: Sing unto the Lord

Highlights: I will sing to the LORD as long as I live. I will praise. Psalm 104:33

Singing is known to fill us with intense feelings of pleasure. When you sing unto God with intention to please him is a great thing to do. You don't need to be an artist or musically inclined to sing unto the Lord. All you need is to just sing words pleasing unto him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

Hint: Sing a song unto the Lord today.

Time

An Emoji Devotions for Sat, 28th November, 2020

Highlights

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise Philippians 4:8 NLT

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NLT

In conclusion: When you are a child, speak and think and reason as a child. But when you grow up, put away childish things. 1 Cor 13:11

Prayer: Thank you father for my time. For I am grateful for yesterday, today and future. Amen

LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE

Emoji Devotions for Friday, 27 Nov 2020

By C.C. Thompson

Highlights

There will be signs.... People will faint from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon the world. Luke 21:25, 26, NRSV.

John also was a witness of the terrible scenes that will take place as signs of Christ’s coming. He saw armies mustering for battle, and people’s hearts failing them for fear. He saw the earth moved out of its place, the mountains carried into the midst of the sea, the waves thereof roaring and troubled. He saw the vials of wrath opened, and pestilence, famine, and death come upon the inhabitants of the earth.

Already the restraining Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, fire and flood, disasters by sea and land, follow each other in quick succession. Science seeks to explain all these. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause. People cannot discern the sentinel angels restraining the four winds, that they shall not blow until the servants of God are sealed. But when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, there will be such a scene of strife as no pen can picture. CTr 316.3

We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecy is fast fulfilling. The Lord is at the door. There is soon to open before us a period of overwhelming interest to all who are living. The controversies of the past are to be revived. New controversies will arise. The scenes to be enacted in our world are not even dreamed of. Satan is at work through human agencies.

But God’s servants are not to trust to themselves in this great emergency. The program of coming events is in the hands of the Lord. The world is not without a ruler; the Majesty of heaven has the destiny of nations, as well as the concerns of His church, in His own hands...

The important future is before us. To meet its trials and temptations, and to perform its duties, will require great faith and perseverance. But we may triumph gloriously, for not one watching, praying, believing soul will be ensnared by the devices of the enemy. All heaven is interested in our welfare and waits our demand upon its wisdom and strength. In the time of trial just before us, God’s pledge of security will be placed upon those who have kept the word of His patience.

Music vs Mental Disorder

Emoji Devotions for Thu, 26 November, 2020

Highlights: And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away. 1 Samuel 16:23

Mental disorder also known as mental illness or nervous breakdown which is described as a period of intense mental distress affects people and render them unable to function in their everyday life.

1 Samuel 16:14 says that "Now the Spirit of the LORD had left Saul, and the LORD sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear."

King Saul the first official King of Israel was having to deal with mental issues which is depression and fear. But somehow King Saul was temporarily able to escape his mental issues through music played by little David.

We can deduce from our highlighted Verse in 1Samuel 16:23 that the music David played with the harp instruments are worship songs. Example of these worship songs can be found in 2 Samuel 22 (also in Psalms 18). Let me show you verses 1-3NLV

David sang this song to the Lord on the day the Lord rescued him from all his enemies and from Saul. 2 He sang:

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
3     my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
    and my place of safety.
He is my refuge, my savior,
the one who saves me from violence.

We can learn that if those songs can save King Saul from mental health issues they can save anyone too. These are songs of worship sang to God and songs to testify of God's goodness. Any other type of song apart from these songs may complicate issues.

You too can overcome Mental health issues by

 - learning to play the harp or any musical instruments and sing songs of worship and testimony to God.

Or

- Listening to worship music from anointed worshippers. David was an anointed worshipper who had great faith in God to help in all situations.

Like David we too can love God and trust in His supernatural sufficiency to help us overcome our anxiety and also sing songs of worship to our maker. Suicide, drug abuse, sex, smoking or alcohol are not the solution to mental health breakdown. Anything and any kind of music that does not sing worship and testify of God will not solve mental issues but will rather worsen it.

You may be asking how will you get these things done. Well You cannot get things done just by immediately tuning in to worship songs or learning how to play harp without giving your life to the Lords of worship music. The main first step is Jesus Christ (best choice that work perfectly)

Jesus Christ sent by God from heaven to show us the way is the ultimate solution to our decline in health issues. You must force yourself to learn to trust Him because Jesus is a cornerstone. Anyone who wants to build their life back perfectly must learn to trust Jesus and not reject the cornerstone that will build them.

In Psams 118:22 it's written that "the stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone."

"As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 1 Peter 2:6

BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved along with everyone in your household. Act 16:31

Prayer: God of miracles who sent Jesus to help save the world. I know you are all  sufficient and powerful. You are greater than all my distress and illness. I trust you can help me with my life. Please help me today as I begin to build back my life through Jesus my cornerstone. I confess I truly believe in Jesus from the bottom of my heart. Come Lord Jesus come now and take over my spirit, soul and body. I'm Offering them to you right now as a peace offering. Please accept it and restore me back. I promise not to forget you all my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Grateful for little

Highlights:

Please don’t kill my son,” the baby’s mother screamed. “Your Majesty, I love him very much, but give him to her. Just don’t kill him.”

The other woman shouted, “Go ahead and cut him in half. Then neither of us will have the baby.”

27 Solomon said, “Don’t kill the baby.” Then he pointed to the first woman, “She is his real mother. Give the baby to her.”
2 Kings 3:26-27

Being grateful for little might seems nothing until the following happens.

- until you escape a fierce gun battle that left many dead
- until you escape a fatal accident
- until your life is spared after emergency health issues
- until you escape fire, hunger, thirst, rape, bully, nakedness, famine or sword or distressing mental issues.

You don't have to witness all those things before you appreciate God little things.

Sometimes back I was complaining that a toilet was too dirty and can't magine myself using such things until one moment I was so pressed and someone else was using it then I had to force to understand how little things matter in life.

Like the woman in the highlighted Bible passage, we need to appreciate the fact that we are entitled to be alive. The other careless woman was insensitive little things God had done for her while showing her mischief in public. A disgrace to humanity.

From now on be thankful for shelter, for walking, sitting, eating, seeing, talking, sleeping and waking, fot everything you could and could not imagine. They are great things to be thankful for.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

Prayer: God, I am thankful for all circumstances. Life without you is empty. Thank you Lord for standing by me. I trust you will never let me down.

Fear of Defeat

Highlight:

"He who fears being conquered is sure of defeat" - Napoleon

Napoleon Bonaparte was a French statesman and military leader who led many successful campaigns during the French Revolution and the French Revolutionary Wars.

According to Napoleon's quote, who is a defeated person?

A defeated person is someone who goes to hide because of fear. The first sign Adam displayed after being defeated by the devil was to hide himself.

Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” Genesis 3:9-10 NLT

Adam had no clue of what to do about his nakedness until God clothed him. That another sign of defeat.

The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. Genesis 3:21 NIV

A defeated person is outdated, worn out and cut off from the working system. Just like outdated cars, worn out engines and a phone without network. A defeated person is the one who is afraid of being defeat. Their mind is already grounded.

"I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back Matthew 25:25 NLT

Jesus is the first solution to defeat syndrome. Trusting Him will force all our fears to bow.

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Philipian 2:10

You must believe in the Lordship of Jesus over your heart with boldness call His name to force out defeat in your life.

Do not give up, Jesus in you is greater than fear, paranoia, and defeat.

Pray this Prayer: I have Jesus, there is no fear. I will succeed, I will be brave, my life is beautiful. Amen thank you Jesus.

Nothing Like Family

An Emoji Devotion for Monday 23rd November, 2020 by Sweetvine

Highlights: Weeping with joy, he embraced Benjamin, and Benjamin did the same. Genesis 45:14 NLT

Joseph a Bible hero found his way out of slavery to become Egyptian Prime minister. He was an excellent man and had been through some thick and thin of life but there comes a day he missed his family so bad that they made him weep for joy.

In this life, family is very important. They fill our emptiness.

There's nothing like wife, nothing like, mother, nothing like father, nothing like brothers and nothing like sisters. Feeling empty or lonely could indicate that we are missing someone special or have someone special missing us for a good reason in our family.

Think about your family and sort issues with love by laying matters to God in prayer

Family is so good that if you have them rightly, you will enjoy life.

Prayer: I put mt family in your hands oh Lord. Please take control. Amen

Vain Expression

Emoji devotional for Sunday 22, November, 2020

Highlight: He looked around to make sure no one else was there. Then he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.  Exodus 2:12

What are your actions to get known for riches and honour, what about your thought and feelings, do they show only your facial expressions because of approval from relevant people around you?

Have you ever thought of seeking first on God's approval? God will not need those extreme expressions on your face to accomplish his plans for you.  No one can help God to get things done through their feelings.

In our highlighted Verse today Moses will kill another man to get acceptable by his people just like today's folks who wants to trend on social media for anything. In the end Moses was rejected by his own people. It didn't worked. Exodus 2:12-14

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:27?

For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Matthew 6:32

God knows you need special attention and He would love to hand them over to you. You must  first acknowledge God for all you need and get his approval. It is like going to the hospital to seek the doctor's counsel. A doctor's prescription would be required and not every drug will work for every patient in the hospital ward.

God wants you to learn these things. His ways are the best so we will not end up in depression or suicide like vain chasers because of seeking to gain the whole world to ourselves. Someday we will not be needing those likes and followers on social media anymore?

But love and joy,  patience, kindness, to show goodness, faithfulness, to be gentle and have self-control will put you in the edge of eternal life in story to be told. Galatians 5:22. You should first consider doing to others as you want others do to you.

Of course Jesus said "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15

So what are your expectations in life? How do you show them and how do you express your feelings to others? Before you were long due for  likes and social media trend  could you just follow the right prescription and do what Jesus commands first...

"But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you." Matthew 6:33

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32

Prayer: Help Lord. Your approval is better than millions of likes from random people. Give me grace to be concerned about your kingdom and what has your approval. Amen.

God's Secret Service

Emoji Devotional For Saturday 21 November, 2020

Highlighted Verse:

But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command delivered by the eunuchs. Then the king became very angry and his wrath burned within him. Esther 1:12

How did Esther a Jewish Orphan living in exile became the Queen of Persia and then risked it all to save her people?

Long time ago, there was a time the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building (tower of Babel). The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” Genesis 11:5-7. Human splitting into different languages today was as a result of investigative journalism carried out by God's Secret Service.

These are the supernatural intelligence among humans (in body and in spirit) gathering information to conduct human affairs through God.

They are spiritual journalists investigating human inventions and giving report to the Most High. This is force behind the flow of things conspired and transpiring in human climates and politics. No human authority is above them and none will be. They live in realms between heaven and earth to keep order.

Have you been wondering why the outcome your plans have not been as successful as imagined? God's Secret Service.

Genesis 3:24 After sending them out, the LORD God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden. And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Daniel 2:21

The interesting part is that God (through His secret service) does not remove His gaze from the righteous, but seats them forever with enthroned kings, and they are exalted. Job 36:7

Esther an orphan became a powerful world Queen of her time after queen Vashti said "no" to the world most powerful leader King Ahasuarus. A behaviour that would jeopardize the order of a great Nation. This event did not happen as a result of shortcoming from the relegated Queen Vashti? No the answer is absolutely No!

Esther was promoted to become queen because God would have his way

See verse 14b of Esther 4:14 what Modecai had written in one of his letters to his cousin (Esther):

"...And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14b

This was when the Jewish community under the worst kind of threat was needing urgent deliverance and the Queen would do what it takes to bridge the gap.

However, Whenever we remember stories of these great people in the likes of Queen Esther, King Joseph, King David, King Daniel and all great people in the history of the world we must acknowledge the work of 'God's Secret Service' in action.

How are you aligning yourself into God's plan today?

Prayer: Lord I can see you and I believe that of truth you are for real. I may not know what exactly is on your mind but your thoughts towards me are very good. I believe Lord. I believe Lord. Yes and Amen.

Travail

Emoji Devotional for Friday 20th November

Topic: Travail

Highlight Bible Verse:

About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"). Matthew 27:46

Women engage in painful and laborious effort during childbirth is why they need our prayers.

Psalms 48:6 "Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail."

With travail in context there is pain and there are struggles, there is trial and there maybe tribulation. But travail is a positive thing and it happens to everyone in pursuit of righteousness, freedom and Justice because after travail, good things definitely follow and it's the reward of child bearing. "And it came to pass in the time

of her travail, that, behold, twins [were] in her womb." Genesis 36:27

Are you currently facing a travailing situation in your spiritual, business, health or even mental life? In

  Quote

Exodus 18:8 "And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, [and] all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and [how] the LORD delivered them."

Are travailing right now, do not give up, your child (reward) is on its way. There is 98% chances that millions of others are travailing on something. It's a normal thing to God and when you trust God, Travail soon will turn to prevail.

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." Psalms 34:19

Remember that "Creation may travail in pain but it cannot escape its destiny."

When you Travail in life, make sure you travail in righteousness and not for vain conceit. Let's conclude with these two Bible verses to ponder on then we'll pray.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10

And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:17

Let us Pray: Father Lord change my story to your glory. Strengthen me when I pass through difficult times and stay with me in good times. Please Lord, Do not forsake me in Jesus name. Amen.

The Lord sees your heart.

Emoji Devotional for Thursday, 19th November, 2020

Highlights:

...The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7b

God was looking for David to anoint him as the next king. Although we was faraway in the forest tending the sheep, it does not matter to change God's plan for him. God instructed Prophet Samuel to stay put till David will return from where he was in the field be it far or near, no one will sit down till the prophet had got David anointed as the next King of Israel. Amazing! The whole incident was not by accident but by divine appointment. For God deliberately told Samuel that He (God) does not look at things people look at. People look at outward appearance. They judge by things seen with physical eyes and listen to what people say. Sometimes physical personality and disposition could be mistaken as good intention but God sees the heart. God sees the heart of everyone  to make his decisions, He sees David's heart, He sees Solomon Heart and He sees your heart. All those things that had happened to David may surprised others but they are not by accident. God sees everybody but He chose David. Maybe you should keep these things in your heart next time. It may really do great things.

For He knew the thoughts that He think towards you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 World Bible

We sincerely apologise for this devotional coming late to you for we know that God had set this time to bless you. Keep tuning in to this site for daily devotional.

Do not forget that God sees everything in you. He is willing to wait for you like he did to David to unite with him. It's time to give your heart to God through Christ Jesus, please receive Jesus into your heart now. Do not worry about tomorrow. Matthew 6:34, Jesus will give you peace. John 14:27

Prayer: How beautiful are your eyes towards me O Lord. They are beautiful and wonderful to behold my tiny heart. Please accept my heart and Its yours Lord. In Jesus name I pray.

Fight to Finish

Emoji Devotional for 18th November, 2020

Highlight:

“No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

To plow means to move through or continue with force or determination. In Agriculture it means to dig, break up, or turn over soil or snow with a plow or truck.

Plowing is not for everyone because it's tedious and requires work, energy and power. If you begin with a plowing (ploughing) job, you are not supposed to look back otherwise you might crash or be discouraged to withdraw.

This is because while plowing you are turning hard soils under the ground to the top to make it suitable for farming. Most times this job requires you to work with heavy machines called moulding machine or tractors and it involves land mass as big as a football field. Some soil are very difficult to turn and might breakdown machines, and If need be the plower may run the moulding machine as slow as 8km/h which is slow and time consuming.

A lazy type is not prepared for plowing job and may be tempted to stop or not complete the job. What a way to have issues with employers and contractors or even with the community leaders where the plowing job was taken. On a contrary, A land plowed shabbily will be mumpled in the mud.

Jesus is telling us that the kingdom of heaven is like plowing contract and it requires being prepared and giving our best. Putting your hands on the plow is a proverbial expression that signifies undertaking a new contract. In this case, putting your hands on a plow means that we have decided that we are going to commit our lives to God. We believe that God will save us when we repent of our sins, get baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands. And we are ready for any challenge that comes from it.

Worst of all, we might even let go of the plow and go back to our old sinful ways. A man who did not finish the job God has given him will not be fit for God’s kingdom.

We are to Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which we were called when we made our good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12

We are to Fight to finish as the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:13

Prayer: Help me Lord. I have signed for your kingdom. Make me fit for your kingdom. In Jesus name. Amen.

Moral consciousness

Emoji Devotional for Tuesday 11 November, 2020

Highlights: Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy Exodus 20:8

In Ten facts about Ten commandments according to the Biblestudytools.com we learned one of the fact that The Fourth Commandment, "Remember the Sabbath Day," uplifts mankind more than any other commandment. For most of history, life consisted overwhelmingly of work, and human beings were essentially beasts of burden. This commandment changed that by insisting that people stop working one day out of seven to rest, strengthen relationships, and enjoy life.

God, our loving Father, wants to give us wisdom and keep us from choices that He knows will harm us.

Moral consciousness is the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action (conscience).

In John 13:4 Jesus tells us "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another."

Christ Jesus wants you to be morally conscious today.

Prayer: Lord open my eyes to see the goodness in me and help with my best to preserve it, knowing you are the almighty - most caring father . Amen

Adding Melody to your Destiny

Emoji Devotions for Monday 16 November, 2020 by Sweetvine Shema Ola

Highlights:  The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

As we know that without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
These are four things we can do to add melody to our destiny.

1. Believing that God exist. "

The angel answered him, “I’m Gabriel! I stand in God’s presence. God sent me to tell you this good news. Luke 1:19

God is faithful. Either a person believes Him or not does not change Him from being merciful. "Look at the proud one; his soul is not upright—but the righteous will live by faith—" Habakkuk 2:4

2. Seeking God is another way to add melody to destiny.

David said in Psalms 27:4-5 "One thing I have asked of the LORD; this is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and seek Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high upon a rock".

In the day of trouble who do you run to? Proverbs 18:10 says the name of God is a strong tower.

3. Having faith in God will add melody to our dear lives.

How can I be sure of this?” Zechariah asked the angel...."And now you will be silent and unable to speak until the day this comes to pass, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their proper time.” Luke 1:18a, 20a.

Having faith in God is same thing as believing in His words.

Are you amongst those who always asks for proof of existence of God? It is dangerous to doubt God's word let alone His existence.  ...Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established...; 2 chronicles 20:20. This message may be a time Warner? A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8

4. Being God's child will add good melody into your life.

Have you been seen Bible references such as Habakkuk, James, Ecclesiastes, Jeremiah, Chronicles and so on and so forth. They are God's inspired books from the Books of the Bible. If you want to be God's child you have got to love His words. "This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do." Joshua 1:8

Do you have any questions going down right there in your head? This is what Jesus have to say about it from the Holy Bible:

Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." John 3:3

Pray that God will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and God should remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in Jesus name.

If you do not know how to pray, it is easy, close your eyes and join to God in your heart by faith and say those prayer out.

Now that you have prayed that prayer, you can start reading the Holy Bible from now on. I recommend starting from new testament pages because they contain story of rebirth into new life and as you read, do digest as much as you can in each interval of relevant hours of the day.  You will enjoy reading lots of it. Then you can experience dramatic melody in your destiny.

Remember that God's mercy does not come to an end. Enjoy as much as you can!

Joy

Emoji devotional for Sunday, 15 November, 2020

Highlights:  "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope" (Romans 15:13).

Joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

Joy is also an evidence of God's presence in our lives. In Psalms 16:11 "You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures."

This demonstrates to us that the more joy we have as Christian can be set by the degree of God's presence we carry.

Our today's highlight from Romans 15:13 tells us that Joy comes from hope in God through the Holy Spirit.

We should be aligned through the Holy Spirit that you have been approved and accepted by God. This is beyond any worldly news as Joy comes from the book of Hope which is "The Holy Bible"

Proverbs 10:28 "The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing."

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.  Ecclesiastes 9:7

Prayer: Lord fill me with more of your presence daily in the Holy Ghost for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, (Romans 14:17) Amen

Counsel

Counsel

 Today's devotional Saturday November 14, 2020

Highlights: "Without counsels do a people fall, And deliverance [is] in a multitude of counsellors." Proverbs11:14 YLT

"Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established." Proverbs 15:22

"For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety." Proverbs 24:6

In our three highlights above we can see that there is a reminder of phrase such as

"Multitude of Counsel"

Counsel means advice given formally. Which means you do not just take from anyone because you need it. Example of people who give counsel are pastors, professional workers in certain field, lawyer, instructor, governor, agents, etc

We need counsel about direction, guidance, information, instruction and advise.

The Bible admonished us to take multitude of counsel which means not from one counselor but from two or more.

With Multitude of counsel

(I) There is deliverance from stumbling situation

(II) Plans are established .

(III) There is safety and you can win life's battles with ease.

We must remember that God is the greatest counselor who has give us His guide through Jis living words written in the Bible through the Holy Spirit:

Jesus told us in John 5:39 "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me. (World English Bible)."

When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come. John 16:13 (Holman Christian Standar Bible)

We must ask for the assistance from the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of Truth) to guide us as He is the greatest and the best counselor.

Only the word of God can provide  to us quality assurance to to the right counsel we need.

Psalm 119:30 The entrance of Your (God's) words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Prayer: Holy Spirit of God please help with with the right counsel for my life in Jesus name. Amen

Warning against evil urge

Friday 13th November, 2020 by Sweetvine Shema Oladipupo

Bad urge will destroy us.

Highlights verse: But it happened unto them according to the true proverb. The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire 2 Peter 2:22

When you have a strong desire to do something, you are having urge. There are good urges which are positioned to give our lives a better shape and meaning. On the other hand there are evil urges which are positioned to destroyed us.

There are many examples of good urge such as listening to good music, moving around good people, going to the library, reading new books about good things, watching educational and inspirational movies, reading the Bible, going to church, eating moderately and many other positive things.

Evil or bad urge has the bad examples that causes pollutions to the mind and soul such as doing things that makes us betray the good body and spirit that God has given us. 1 cor 6:18

Whatever you do that makes your lose your Good life quality in spirit and soul is a bad urge. These things made God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah when he turned it into ashes 2 Peter 2:6

In the highlighted passage we were told not to be like dogs and pigs who go back into dirty things.

2 Peter 2:21 says "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

For if you have escaped pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, do not again be entangled therein so that your latter end will not be worse than your beginning (See 2 Peter 2:20)

You must always ask yourself this question: What I am about to do, will it betray my body or pollute my future?

Evil urge may come through different form, you must notice those things you desire that is causing pollution to your body and soul and change to the opposite through the knowledge of Christ word, books ,videos , thoughts and seek for help through prayer while you immediately leave the premises where evil urge is about to take place and find your way to places that will usher you into God's presence.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1

Prayer: I love you Lord, Please deliver me from evil urge.

Mouth Odor Solved from the bible (Ratings 18+)

Music Prescription for this devotion: Nigerian gospel dance playlist (any gospel dance playlist would do)

This devotion will guide you though a journey of understanding about halitosis (also known as mouth odour) and through the power and grace of God, you will have an outstanding solution from the Bible.

Sometimes simple things are hard to explain but God knowing all things will make all things easy through His word. Amen

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3

If you are not the type who read long articles, with apologies, this post is not for you.

"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me." 1 Corinthians 13:11

Do you remember when you were a baby.

Remember all those stages you have passed through till you were where you are right now you had only one body. From childhood to adulthood the same "body" you had had been with you through the thick and thin of life. Those days of blows and bruises, aches and pain with discomforts, yet your body has been there to heal and be there with you. What an amazing privilege.

A fight is not enough to recover our body from body or mouth oduor, for the body can heal itself through the supernatural power of God given to it.  We do not own our body. We were only a care taker of our body. So how have you taken care of your body. Do you believe in caring for your body or curing your body when things do go wrong?

I pray that we will have many things to ever thanked God for especially our body after this devotion.

If you have issues with mouth oduor. Well the good news is that Mouth odour does not have issues with you. It is the way people perceive you, and not how God perceives you.

God perceives you as whole and excellent personality and will adorn you with His perfect gift through His love shown to the world though grace in Jesus Christ.

Mouth odour as pictured from the Bible Psalms 5:9

"Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies."

Can your words be trusted? Are you someone who is pride in what you do to the degree that your heart is filled with malice whenever others seem not to bow to you at will? What is malice to you?

According to the highlighted Bible passage an open grave is where decomposing dead bodies were laid and it will smell until only only dry bones are left.

Jesus said "A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.” Matthew 15:11.

I am not here to condemn you. Have you been defiling yourself or someone in a certain way or have you been defiled through others or through your rebelious actions in a certain way? Only you as a person can answer those questions.

Most times we behave like others and think because they do certain wrong things and go Scot free, we can also do such things and believe that nothing will happens to us, so we took our body-grace for granted (body-grace is like number of times you will do certain things wrong before judgement punishment is passed on your body). It's like a thief who is conversant with stealing and going Scot free and someday got caught and was treated with brutality. "Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them". Romans 1:32.

Now you see both how kind and how hard God can be. He was hard on those who fell, but he was kind to you (for being alive and well). And he will keep on being kind to you, if you keep on trusting in his kindness. Otherwise, you will be cut away too (in your carelessness).

Our God is good and gracious but should we be taking a lot of things for granted especially in our body?.

"Flee whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, doth sin against his own body. 1 cor 6:18

Whoredom is the practice of whoring : prostitution. 2 : faithless, unworthy, or idolatrous practices or pursuits.

"Have you not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own," 1 cor 6:19

Once again Jesus said "A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.” Matthew 15:11.

Bible says those who defiled themselves have sinned against their own body (they have betrayed thier innocent body).

Psalm 5:9 said "Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies."

Telling lies are things people just live with these days without thinking twice. Lying is the property attributed to the devil (John 8:44). And after a while the devil would seek his own.

The solution is to refresh the time an it's found in Act 3:19.

Repent (feel or express sincere regret or remorse about your wrongdoing), then, and turn to God (humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor), so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing (renewal and restoration) may come from the Lord. Act 3:19

Now you have known the truth ; It's either the truth sets you free or you live with it. Refreshing comes with Healing and it is gradual. You must have learned patience and faith along your way.

"My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous." 1 John 2:1

Wait on Jesus as he advocates for your recovery before God each day and keep doing his will as a repentant person who has tasted his grace. Refreshing time will come through His mercy.

"Afterward, Jesus found the man at the temple and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.” John 5:14

Prayer point for genuine repentance:

Father I am sorry for betraying the innocent body you gave to me . Please be merciful unto me a sinner in Jesus name. Amen

TIP: Renew your mind to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself . Remember Jesus in the element of your body that the Holy spirit dwells in you and enables you to be aware of the world and your present experiences, to think, and to feel; the power of His love in your consciousness and thoughts. Shine on in His grace.
