A Double Barrel

An Emoji Devotional for Sat, July 2 2022

Topic: A double Barrel

Highlight:

But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” Luke 23:41

How bad is the word, "crucify him"? It's like saying "shoot him", "decimate him", "destroy him". It is more hurtful when more than two or three people shout such word to someone who is innocent. It hurts more than a double barrel magnum shotgun. Are there none who could remember Jesus for one good thing during his trial? Everyone was out there pointing out accusations of what he said. It is hurtful how the bad influencers have influenced the whole world to teamed up against God.

Where was Zacchaeus? Where was Nicodemus? At least where was the woman with the issue of blood to come out and testify good about Jesus? Their voices had been eaten by the voice of the malignant crowd.

What about you? Are you among those, who stir up words to hurt others. Are your words as hard as double barrel gun blow on others? or are they sweet and encouraging? Matthew 25:36 says "But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken."

The good side of the story is that Jesus came out victorious of it all. He ressurected to life of a bigger fulfilment and his good news message was preached and received into nations from all over the world for ever.

If you are the one facing a double barrel war like Jesus. The moral lesson to learn from this story is in Psalm 146:3 "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, In whom there is no help." The help of man is subject to limitations but the help of God is open to all possibilities. Luke 1:37

Are you born again. Are you saved through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for you on the cross? For If you would love to give your life to Jesus Christ: Why not now? Say this prayer - Lord Jesus, I appreciate your works done to save my life. I am ready to change Into the new person you want me to become through your love. Come into my heart Lord Jesus and take over all I am and all I ever would be. in Jesus name.

Prayer: I look to up to God to send salvation from His Holy Spirit to me through Jesus Christ the son. Amen
