Trust in Truth

An Emoji Devotional for 07 July 2022

Topic: Trust the Truth

Highlight:

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalm 91:4 KJV

The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Proverbs 12:19

and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32 KJV

Invest in truth and never sell it—in wisdom and instruction and understanding. Proverbs 23:23

Do not sell out yourself to the devil who's out there to scare you. Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. The same devil is a liar and father of it. There is no truth in him (John 8:44). It's not funny that the devil force his lies down people's throats. He uses lies to exchange good gift of confidence.  The best thing is to disagree and reject the devil when he tells you something else from the truth. Christians must be wholly governed by truth, which is revealed in Christ Jesus. This truth is not uncertainty, doubt, or lack of clarity. It is a settled conviction, knowing whom and what to believe. The devil tries to create confusion and uncertainty and to repel him, Christians must be “girt about” with truth.

To believe in truth means that refuse to be bothered by the circumstances around you unless you recognize that it is the truth. And When you see the truth you will recognize every bit of it and let it lead you into freedom.

Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, (ESV) Ephesians 6:14. How will a soldier look like without his belt on? It is not the truth about yourself, it is the truth of Jesus. His words, His name, His power, His Spirit of Truth.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:14

You cannot know the truth if you do not trust Him. The truth is like a password that leads to freedom. It's is found in God's promises for those who fear him. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: A mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Psalm 33:16

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

Psalm 33:18‭-‬19 KJV

When the devil tells you something which is not the truth. You do not need to argue because the devil never stops talking. The devil always has a counterfeit of truth and uses it to derail people from the truth. Beware of being provoked by the devil.  What to do is Use your weapon of truth in God's word as Jesus did in Matthew 4:10‭-‬11 KJV

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Trust in the truth of God's word. Even in the midst of storm let the vision of truth be at your wit end

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mark 4:39

Prayer: Father lead me in your truth and adorn me with your truth and give your spirit of truth. Do not let the devil stand a chance before me always in Jesus name. Amen
