Topic: God's banquet and Bread of Stones
Highlight:
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:3-4 KJV
God's word is a nourishing food to the spirit of man. The devil is still in business of tempting Christians today to enter the business of turning a stone into bread. The devil's mission was to entice all who wish to please God to "turn this stone into bread". Unfortunately, Christians keeps falling for that temptation by reasoning. They pay attention to the need to turn a stone into bread and will be lead astray.
Stone is the weapon in Devil's hand to fight any child of God who has a destiny to fulfill. However, The word of God is the weapon and nourishing food for God's children.
Any Christians battling with stone challenge should now understand that the devil is the cause and begin to feed on God's word and much more proclaim what God's word says at all time.
"Turn this stone to bread". Not interested is different from saying No! Which is also different from "I am confident that I can live forever not by bread alone but because I am pleasing God and doing what He tells me".
If God's word is your food, that you can read and digest it with pleasure, once you know that God's word is needed for your daily life's nourishment and you are able to ignore the stone thoughts and stone sound. You are a winner! Same God's word is the same response to the devil's presence and urging distractions.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Matthew 4:10-11 KJV
As you study for your exams to become someone important in life, take God's word more seriously as it is the food, wisdom, power and salvation to your destiny.
Prayer: Almighty Father, please give me the word for my destiny that comes from your mouth in Jesus name. Amen
