I don't want to be an ordinary Christian

An Emoji Devotions for Wed 28 April, 2021

Topic: I don't want to be an ordinary Christian.

Highlight:

God was performing extraordinary miracles by Paul’s hands, Act 19:11

It is important that a Christian showcase success in their ministry. This is what they will use to testify about the Lord to others. Jesus said in John 4:48 that "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe." Even the angels in heaven in Revelation 12:11 triumphed over the devil by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. What is a testimony? It is the evidence or proof of something. Only extraordinary Christians has their proof and evidence that they are genuinely saved. It is a good thing to be able to confirm and demonstrate your Christianity to others. I prayed to the Lord this morning "O Lord I don't want to be ordinary Christian" because I want to have evidence and proof that I am child of God. What are the evidences of your salvation since you were born again?

Matthew 5:14 says "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." The transformation of Divine grace should be visible in our lives and people should see and request we should pray for them is a good sign testimony on its own. When you can talk to a bad man or woman to change their ways and they are spiritually convinced to do so shows that you are extraordinary. In Act 4:16 a question was asked by the opposition: What are we to do with these men? For the fact that an extraordinary miracle has taken place through them is public knowledge and clearly evident to all the residents of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. That is an undeniable testimony!

Let me add this conclusion, Romans 12:11 says "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;" A child of God who is diligent in their occupation and blessed like our father Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, likewise fervent in the fire of Holy Ghost and serving the Lord is an extraordinary Christian.  As we can see in Act 19:11 "God was performing extraordinary miracles by Paul’s hands". Let us start moving towards achieving a great goal in the name of Jesus. Think about it, as Christian, Whatever you are today is not for you but for Jesus. Pray to be extraordinary Christian from now on.

Prayer: Father Almighty, Make me an  extraordinary Christian from now on and fill me with Holy Ghost fire with proof and evidence in Jesus mighty name. Amen
