Trust in Truth

An Emoji Devotional for 07 July 2022

Topic: Trust the Truth

Highlight:

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalm 91:4 KJV

The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Proverbs 12:19

and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32 KJV

Invest in truth and never sell it—in wisdom and instruction and understanding. Proverbs 23:23

Do not sell out yourself to the devil who's out there to scare you. Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. The same devil is a liar and father of it. There is no truth in him (John 8:44). It's not funny that the devil force his lies down people's throats. He uses lies to exchange good gift of confidence.  The best thing is to disagree and reject the devil when he tells you something else from the truth. Christians must be wholly governed by truth, which is revealed in Christ Jesus. This truth is not uncertainty, doubt, or lack of clarity. It is a settled conviction, knowing whom and what to believe. The devil tries to create confusion and uncertainty and to repel him, Christians must be “girt about” with truth.

To believe in truth means that refuse to be bothered by the circumstances around you unless you recognize that it is the truth. And When you see the truth you will recognize every bit of it and let it lead you into freedom.

Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, (ESV) Ephesians 6:14. How will a soldier look like without his belt on? It is not the truth about yourself, it is the truth of Jesus. His words, His name, His power, His Spirit of Truth.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:14

You cannot know the truth if you do not trust Him. The truth is like a password that leads to freedom. It's is found in God's promises for those who fear him. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: A mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Psalm 33:16

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

Psalm 33:18‭-‬19 KJV

When the devil tells you something which is not the truth. You do not need to argue because the devil never stops talking. The devil always has a counterfeit of truth and uses it to derail people from the truth. Beware of being provoked by the devil.  What to do is Use your weapon of truth in God's word as Jesus did in Matthew 4:10‭-‬11 KJV

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Trust in the truth of God's word. Even in the midst of storm let the vision of truth be at your wit end

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mark 4:39

Prayer: Father lead me in your truth and adorn me with your truth and give your spirit of truth. Do not let the devil stand a chance before me always in Jesus name. Amen

Settled Faith vs Irredeemable Fear

An Emoji Devotions for Mon, July 4, 2022

Topic: Settled Faith vs Irredeemable Fear

In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed (get better). and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk. Acts 14:8-10

When your faith has turned into divine revelation that give a sense of hope which cannot be questioned, it will reasonably shift into a redeemable position in the supernatural realm to modify natural challenges. Such is a settled faith ready to receive the word of truth. John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

On the contrary, there is also what is called irredeemable fear. When fear has labeled someone to become slave of Satan whereby it can provoke, distract and afflict such individual at any given time with less resistance, it has become an irredeemable fear. 1 Peter 5:8, John 10:10

What Kind of person are you? Are you living a life of settled faith or a life into irredeemable fear. Before you can be set free, all you need is to know (make inquiry and observe) the truth. You are not settled until you remove ideas keeping you bound from following the faith instructions from the truth that can set you free. When the voice of truth reaches you with instructions and you remain clueless of what to do. You are may be held bound by fear.

A cripple man has his faith to be healed because he has no idea of anything that can deny his opportunity to be made whole. While some abled body men with too many thoughts of where, when and how will waste away into irredeemable position through fear. A settled faith needs no clue of where, when and how. All that is required is to obey the instructions found in the word of liberty which is the Bible truth in Jesus Christ alone.

“Stand up on your feet.” And he jumped up and began to walk. That's all don't look back!

The crippled man already has made inquiry from other people who got their heading how it was done and they would have told him. Be ready to jump at what the preacher tells you to do. What a settled faith with no waste of time! Time wasting in fear is a disease to the soul. There is no option to fear even in the valley of the shadow of death for those who will receive from God. Hebrews 11:7.

Prayer: Father I thank you for the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to walk in faith bought through precious blood of Jesus on the cross. A gift from life after death and ressurection of our Saviour and Lord Jesus by the power of Holy Ghost. Amen

A Double Barrel

An Emoji Devotional for Sat, July 2 2022

Topic: A double Barrel

Highlight:

But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” Luke 23:41

How bad is the word, "crucify him"? It's like saying "shoot him", "decimate him", "destroy him". It is more hurtful when more than two or three people shout such word to someone who is innocent. It hurts more than a double barrel magnum shotgun. Are there none who could remember Jesus for one good thing during his trial? Everyone was out there pointing out accusations of what he said. It is hurtful how the bad influencers have influenced the whole world to teamed up against God.

Where was Zacchaeus? Where was Nicodemus? At least where was the woman with the issue of blood to come out and testify good about Jesus? Their voices had been eaten by the voice of the malignant crowd.

What about you? Are you among those, who stir up words to hurt others. Are your words as hard as double barrel gun blow on others? or are they sweet and encouraging? Matthew 25:36 says "But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken."

The good side of the story is that Jesus came out victorious of it all. He ressurected to life of a bigger fulfilment and his good news message was preached and received into nations from all over the world for ever.

If you are the one facing a double barrel war like Jesus. The moral lesson to learn from this story is in Psalm 146:3 "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, In whom there is no help." The help of man is subject to limitations but the help of God is open to all possibilities. Luke 1:37

Are you born again. Are you saved through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for you on the cross? For If you would love to give your life to Jesus Christ: Why not now? Say this prayer - Lord Jesus, I appreciate your works done to save my life. I am ready to change Into the new person you want me to become through your love. Come into my heart Lord Jesus and take over all I am and all I ever would be. in Jesus name.

Prayer: I look to up to God to send salvation from His Holy Spirit to me through Jesus Christ the son. Amen

Power Pass Power

An Emoji Devotional for Tue, June 28, 2022

Topic: Power Pass Power

Highlight:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

The power Jesus bestowed on us is a function of knowledge of the truth in God's word. This power is engineered by the Holy Spirit. Since Nothing can change the word of God, All situation can be subjected by the Word of God. To use the word engineered by the Holy Ghost; It must be given. John 3:27 John replied, “No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven.

God's word remains true and this truth cannot be changed. Proverbs 15:23 says "Giving the right answer at the right time makes everyone happy." Since the right answer can only come from the Spirit of truth. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. (Romans 8:19). This means that if " all things created will obey the son of God.

That is why the devil use the phrase "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” because a true son of God can command stone to be turned into bread.

However the Spirit of truth is the only one that can give you the right answer to reply any situation. We must not allow our flesh to rule us to think in the natural human way. That is why Jesus answered by the word of God which is the right answer at the right time saying, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” This is the word that exposes the innermost thoughts (intention) of the devil)

For the word of God (which is given by the Holy Spirit -The Spirit of Truth) is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

You must pray for the Spirit of Truth to manifest Himself in your life in every situation. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children (Romans 8:16). Yet you have to receive the power to become God's child by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and Having faith in Him according to John 1:12

The Power you will receive from Jesus surpass all other powers in heaven and Earth and in the underworld Philippians 2:10-11.

The situation around you is waiting for you to manifest as the son of God. Romans 8:19

Prayer: Holy Spirit of Truth, I receive you by faith in Jesus name. Manifest yourself in my life from now on. Amen

Eden without the Serpent

An Emoji Devotional for Fri June 24, 2022

Topic: Eden without the Serpent

Highlight:

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Genesis 3:1

The serpent sowed the seed of rebellion into man in a sneaky way. Anything called Serpent signifies rebellion against God. Imagine in those days if the garden of Eden has no Serpent. Today we would have been different in nature. Let's consider our lives as a Garden of Eden and whatever is making us to go against God's will as the Serpent. What are those thoughts that ask us questions such as this -

"Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The life of Eden was a life filled with total obedience and innocence to any defilement. But the serpent has infiltrated it with different things that made us to change our minds against God's will.

Jesus Christ can restore the historical divine peace which has been damaged by our decision to follow the Serpent advise. Isaiah 53:4-5 reveals that Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

If your life has been cringed by damages done to you through the serpent of life. Do not worry, follow the first instructions by the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ - Holy Mary in John 2:5 ...“Do whatever he tells you.”

How will you know what He tells you. It's by reading your Bible. I bet if you can open your Bible and read it with heart shaped to learn of Jesus. You will gain eternal life into your soul. Through Jesus Christ your world can shape back into an Eden without a Serpent.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Be kind to me. Shape my life into the garden of Eden without a serpent. Redeem my life with your precious blood. Take away my grief and sorrows today. I will learn of you to do what you command. So help me Lord in Jesus name. Amen

Jacob and God In a Wrestling Match

An Emoji Devotional for Wed, Jun 22, 2022

Topic: Jacob and God In a Wrestling Match

Highlight:

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Beth-el, and there he spake with us;

Hosea 12:3‭-‬4

And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Genesis 32:24‭-‬28 KJV

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Matthew 23:37 KJV

For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Matthew 23:39 KJV

God tried to change Jacob's mind so he could accept the gospel of salvation through grace but he would not easy on God from the space of midnight till daybreak. Even before Jacob was born, he cheated his brother, and when he grew up, he fought against God.

Hosea 12:3. God came in a night, to conquer Jacob's dogma about self righteousness which he seems fight for until His joint was dislocated and He had to surrender with  understanding that No one can succeed by strength alone. 1Sam 2:9. Through what happened that night God made Jacob understood that what is not given from heaven cannot be received from heaven. He with Jesus the son of God without knowing. He asked him for blessings and also asked for His name. Because He knew that it is only the son of God could make him surrender in such feat. Genesis 32:17. If Jacob had received a name from Jesus that day, He would have named the place he had the fight with God "Jesus alter" But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV. In the day break, Jacob later surrendered His life by saying "I will not let thee go, except thou bless me". Before He thought he was blessed before he met Christ but not until He met with the Lord. He then realized that all his achievements without the Lord was not enough to acclaim as being blessed. Until He surrendered His life to Christ. Then the Lord asked Him "what is thy name?" and He said Jacob.  He did not add any other reputation to his name not even his surname as he totally agreed to receive the real blessing from his Lord and Saviour. After the Lord blessed Him. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Genesis 32:30.

In the center of it all, God changed His name from Jacob to Isreal. He became born again to a new creature and his mind renewed. John 3:3, Romans 12:2

Prayer: How many times have I exalted my decisions above your will in my prayers to you.My Lord I surrender myself to your will. Please Let let your will be done in my life and bless me Lord today in Jesus name.

To every disadvantage there is an advantage

An Emoji Devotional for Mon, 20th June 2022

Topic: To every disadvantage there is an advantage

Highlight:

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Blessed be the God of Joseph who went ahead to save the tribe of Jacob from famine. It was Joseph who went through various phase of trials because he shared his dreams to his brothers. He got sold into slavery and suffered persecution in the house of his master. His loyalty got him into prison since he refused to sleep with his master Potiphar's wife. He was forgotten by his family and friend who promised redemption. But in the time of his disadvantages, he has learned divine given skills of wisdom and dream interpretation. What if Joseph had given up his dreams, what if he changed to a bad person because he felt dejected and betrayed by the people he loved. One good thing that is certain for those who continue in their godly race. They will come to a time of advantage no matter how many disadvantages they have faced in life. For those who loved God eternally, all things will work together for good. One day the begging Lazarus will rejoice in paradise in Abraham's Bosom.

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— 1 Corinthians 2:9

Prayer: God I pray that you make lines fall unto me in pleasant places in Jesus name. Amen
